Prototype and production packages

What the prototype deposit includes

  • Project and artwork review
  • One custom 3D gummy design
  • Technical drawing or production layout
  • Up to two reasonable revision rounds
  • One silicone prototype, typically up to four cavities when feasible

The $995 payment is a non-refundable design and prototype deposit. If a qualifying production mold order is placed within 90 calendar days of prototype delivery, the full $995 is credited toward that order. After 90 days the credit expires. Shipping, extra prototypes, extensive revisions, and production molds are separate.

A clear path from idea to production

How the custom mold process works

  1. 1
    Submit your concept

Send artwork or a shape idea with target gummy size and intended use.

  2. 2
    Confirm the project scope

We review feasibility, cavity layout, equipment requirements, and the right package.

  3. 3
    Approve the design

Review the 3D design and technical drawing or production layout before manufacturing.

  4. 4
    Manufacture and test

Receive the prototype or selected production quantity, then test it with your formula and process before scale-up.

GUMMY MOLDS · CUSTOM ENGINEERING STUDIO

Design Your Custom Gummy Mold

Build a preliminary production plan from gummy geometry through mold capacity. Engineering confirms final cavity geometry and machine fit before production.

STEP 1 OF 4 · DESIGN

Choose your gummy design

Start with a standard geometry or upload your own artwork or 3D model.

Optional marking / branding
STEP 2 OF 4 · PIECE SPECS

Set your piece specs

Start with the target weight or volume. For uploaded 3D designs, confirm the intended finished physical dimensions.

STEP 3 OF 4 · PRODUCTION SETUP

Set up production

Tell us how you fill molds and how much capacity you need at one time.

STEP 4 OF 4 · ENGINEERING PLAN

Your preliminary engineering plan

This turns your inputs into a quote-ready production brief. Final cavity geometry, demolding and machine fit are confirmed by engineering.

Shape feasibility and demolding

Piece size, depth, detail, draft, and filling method all affect reliable demolding.

Equipment compatibility

Provide tray dimensions, nozzle spacing, cavity alignment, and shot volume before design approval.

Production testing

Test the mold with your formula, filling method, processing conditions, and release method before scale-up.

Frequently asked questions

Can you create a mold from my logo or artwork?

Yes. Logos, artwork, sketches, characters, and reference images can be used as the starting point. Some details may need adjustment for filling, release, strength, or manufacturability.

Can the mold be designed around my equipment?

Yes, when accurate tray, nozzle, machine, and production specifications are provided before design approval. Final compatibility depends on the complete production setup.

What is included in the $995 prototype deposit?

Project and artwork review, one custom 3D gummy design, a technical drawing or production layout, up to two reasonable revision rounds, and one physical silicone prototype, typically up to four cavities when feasible.

How long does a custom project take?

Prototype timing is confirmed during project review. Production packages are estimated at approximately four weeks after final design approval.

Should I test the mold before full-scale production?

Yes. Test the completed mold with the intended formula, equipment, processing conditions, and release method before full-scale manufacturing.

What helps us quote accurately

  • Desired shape plus artwork or a reference, if available
  • Finished gummy size, weight, or target volume — “not sure” is okay
  • $995 prototype deposit, 20-mold, or 100-mold package
  • Filling method or depositor model, if applicable
  • Target launch date and shipping country

You do not need final production specifications to start. Artwork is recommended, not required.
